The letters MD stand for medical doctor. DO is another doctor license type; Arizona uses a different board for it.

DO doctors are licensed in medicine and surgery. Arizona’s DO board offers a Find your DO search.

Match the spelling and profession to the person offering the visit. Read the record itself rather than relying on a badge in an advert.

As of October 6, 2026, Arizona law limits which board-action records appear on board websites.

A blank section for board actions does not prove that no one has complained or that the board has never taken action.

Some records of board actions can appear on the website for no more than five years.

You can ask the professional board for more public records about the person.

The law limits what the board can share about complaints still being investigated.

Meeting minutes, the written record of public board meetings, and notices kept under public-meeting law are outside that five-year limit.
