Find care
Ask three questions. Does the person have permission to treat you here? Does the pharmacy have permission to send medicine here? Is the exact medicine approved?
Check the person, pharmacy and medicine.
As of October 3, 2026, a health professional licensed in another state may register with an Arizona board to treat someone here by phone or video.
Their license must have no restrictions. They must also meet Arizona’s rules about past board actions and the other registration requirements.
That registration does not grant permission to give in-person care in Arizona without an Arizona license.
Ask for the person’s full name and what kind of health professional they are. Ask which Arizona license or registration they use for this visit.
To ship medicine into Arizona, a pharmacy based elsewhere must hold an Arizona permit, as of October 3, 2026.
The pharmacy also needs the required permission where it is based.
Ask for the pharmacy name before accepting an unnamed “partner pharmacy.” Request its Arizona permit details.
As of October 3, 2026, Arizona exempts many private health-professional offices from a separate facility license.
This office rule does not cover stand-alone urgent care centers or legally defined pain-management and abortion clinics.
It also does not cover offices where patients stay overnight or receive general anesthesia, which puts them to sleep for care.
Dental offices have a separate legal exception for anesthesia.
A missing facility entry alone does not prove that an office is operating unlawfully.
Check the person’s license. Ask the office whether it needs its own facility license for this care, or which rule lets it work without one.
